Gundam IBO Mechanical Profiles - Valkyrja Frame
« on: November 29, 2020, 06:50:15 AM »

Grimgerde
Model number: V08-1228
Overall height: 18.5m
Base weight: 29.2t
[Season 1]
A lightweight, high mobility machine originating in the late stages of the Calamity War. The Grimgerde maintains high maneuverability in both space and within gravity, but has an unusual center of gravity that requires great care from the pilot to manage effectively in close combat. It is one of several machines built on the Valkyrja Frame, but unfortunately they would be overshadowed by the Gundam Frame rolled out at the same time. They would fall into obscurity, leaving little impact on combat records of the era.

The situation would reverse after the war, where the peacekeeping Gjallarhorn organization would model its new generation of MS after the Valkyrja's balance and efficiency over the Gundams. It would pass down several concepts to its successors like design simplicity, energy efficiency, and a high-output sensor concealed by the head plating when not in use. At least one Grimgerde would survive the war, operating in the possession of the shady individual known as "Montag" during the events of 323 PD as part of his efforts to discreetly assist the Tekkadan.

Armaments:

110mm Valkyrja Rifle: A handheld rifle that accommodates the Grimgerde's balance, can be stored on the rear skirt armor.

Valkyrja Blade: Double-edged swords made from a rare, incredibly hard material. They can be used while still mounted inside the shields by rotating.

Valkyrja Shield: A pair of distinctly-shaped shields mounted on both arms.

Helmwige Reincar
Model number: V08Re-0526
Overall height: 21.1m
Base weight: 43.9t
[Season 2]
The Helmwige was a Valkyrja Frame-based mobile suit developed near the end of the Calamity War. The Reincar, on the other hand, is a complete retrofit of Montag's Grimgerde based on the remaining data of its sister unit in preparation for combating Mobile Armors. Although still the same frame it has transformed into something completely opposite of the light and nimble Grimgerde, repurposing its output to support heavy armor and equipment.

With armoring heavy enough that it strains the limits of the frame's mobility, when engaging Mobile Armor the Helmwige Reincar is intended to advance and box them in at close range with its melee weaponry. To this end, the unit's hoof-like feet may expand to assist in impact diffusion. Given the massive size of its primary weapon, the Reincar's front skirt armor unfolds as a support arm to help with balance when the unit isn't in combat and reduce strain on the arm joints.

Armaments:

Electric Shock Horns: The pair of horns on the Helmwige's head are for extremely close combat, penetrating enemy armor and frying the internal machinery. When in use the horns swivel forward, while a face guard protects the Reincar's sensors.

Valkyrja Buster Sword/Short Club: A super-heavy weapon that stands taller than the Helmwige itself, originally conceived for combating Mobile Armors. The handle slides to adjust to the needs of the pilot, and can even be detached for use as a supplementary melee weapon.

Ortlinde
Model number: V03-0907
Overall height: 18.8m
Base weight: 29.97
[Gekko]
The third of the Valkyrja series machines, the Ortlinde was said to have fought alongside the Gundam Gremory in the later stages of the Calamity War. It has subsequently been passed down through the Jijin family, and currently is used by Jijil Jijin at the head of Gjallarhorn's internal regulatory unit. While in the modern era it is a close combat mobile suit, during the war it was a Dainsleif-equipped artillery unit. Now empty, the shield binder on its left shoulder once carried its ammunition supply.

Armaments:

Valkyrja Double Blade: A double-ended melee weapon that serves as the Ortlinde's primary weaponry. One of the blades is made of the same material as the Valkyrja Blades, and the weapon can separate into a pair of short swords. During the War it was a Dainsleif-firing weapon, but was completely remodeled following Gjallarhorn's treaty banning the use of Dainsleif rounds.

Sigrun
Model number: V07-0126
Overall height: 18.4m
Base weight: 29.5t
[IBO MSV]
Another machine built off of the Valkyrja Frame near the end of the Calamity War. A high-performance unit designed to emphasize high mobility and output, the Sigrun was expected to change the course of the war. Unfortunately, much like its sisters, it debuted near-simultaneously as the Gundam Frame and was completely overshadowed. With few noted contributions or fanfare, it has become an exceedingly rare Mobile Suit with low production numbers.

Armaments:

Valkyrja Rapier: A handheld melee weapon. The head of the weapon rotates at high speeds to amplify damage output, and enables it to be thrown like a javelin at targets.

Valkyrja Round Shield: Mounted on the left arm. It mounts four rocket anchors around the circumference of the shield.
