[Season 2]
Following repeated defeats at the hands of the Tekkadan and the shifting political and military climate after Edmonton, Gjallarhorn was forced to rethink their Mobile Suit development. While the Graze seemed the pinnacle of modern technology and a deterrent through its existence alone, the disgraced peacekeeping organization now had to face the reality of a world where anti-MS combat was becoming increasingly common. It needed to adapt if it wanted to regain control of the situation.
The Reginlaze was developed with this in mind and focused on three key concepts: high output, heavy equipment, and heavy firepower. The design is more sophisticated and optimized than the Graze Frame without losing its predecessors' strong points of simplicity, ease of use, and versatility. In its pursuit of strength the structure of the Reginlaze Frame's has come to more closely resemble the Valkyrja Frame of old, in response to a new era of conflict ushered in by Gundams.
The large sensor unit stored inside its head is a new model with a composite, triple lens configuration. The Reginlaze's shoulder and thigh joints, which require higher torque, are ball shaped and protected by shield units that can carry additional equipment. Like the Graze it has a pair of booster units which are better armored than its predecessor's and mount on the unit's back via a pair of flexible connectors. They are primarily designed for space use, but can also be employed in ground combat with little to no modification.
The first production run totals 18 machines, all of which have been assigned to select pilots within the Arianrhod Fleet. Owing to the machne's flexibility it can be easily modified to suit the needs of their pilots, such as Julieta Juris' white-accented machine being tuned for high mobility. One
Commander Unit belonged to Iok Kujan, and has been equipped to function as a long-range support type in order to keep him away from direct combat.
Armaments:GR-W11 130mm Rifle/Short Rifle: An evolution of the Graze's GR-W01, designed with a higher caliber to be more effective in anti-mobile suit combat. It has great extensibility, with many option parts entering development so that the rifle can be tailored to any combat situation. It may be carried on the hip binders or on the rear skirt armoring.
Multi-Weapon Pack: A series of optional attachments for the GR-W11. A
large sword unit attaches to the bottom of the rifle, often serving as the unit's primary melee weapon. Other options include an underslung grenade launcher or a rocket launcher mounted in place of the standard barrel.
Long Distance Railgun: An electromagnetic rifle for precision fire, that had been in testing by Gjallarhorn R&D. It has excellent handling due to its movable grips, and the barrel can be collapsed when not in use. Firing output can be adjusted on the fly, but pushing it too high can wear out and damage the railgun's barrel. The weapon is belt-fed by an ammo pack mounted on the rear skirt. Used by Iok's unit.
Arm Autocannon: Mounted on either forearm. Used by Julieta's unit, and featured in the Gundam Try Age video game.
GW-Hr01 Knight Blade: A double-edged sword designed specifically for the Graze Ritter. While primarily intended for ceremonial use, its ornamentation does not detract from its effectiveness in actual combat scenarios. It is equipped on Iok's unit, and when not in use it can be stored on either hip binder.
Twin Pile,
2: Exotic melee weapons that incorporate hand guards and wired anchors. While their attack area is small compared to weapons like the battle axe or blade, the twin piles are durable enough to block and parry enemy blows. Since each blow deals little damage, aggressive handling and rapid strikes are necessary for effective use. Used by Julieta's unit.
???: A double-edged, ceremonial blade.
GR-E11 Gauntlet: Small bucklers that can be mounted on either forearm, and can double as striking weapons in close quarters. They are also able to attach to the GR-W11's handgrip, anchoring the weapon and improving stability.
